Gruppo Pozzi _ Pinacoteca di Brera 1

On the occasion of the Milano Design Week, Gruppo Pozzi and Arpa Industriale present the prototype of the new benches which will be installed in the next months in several rooms of the Pinacoteca di Brera. From April 12th the first chair will be in room VIII of the museum, in front of the opera “La predica di San Marco ad Alessandria d’Egitto” by Gentile and Giovanni Bellini.
The prototype is designed by Gruppo Pozzi and it is characterized by a modern and iconic design. The concept behind it is the idea of James Bradbourne, director of the Pinacoteca: he has chosen the original furniture elements of the nineteenth century and he has wanted to renew them into design objects characterized by an elegant, discreet and functional presence. In 2015, Bradburne presented the museum redevelopment plan that makes Brera visitors be users.

Simone Davide Carminati has worked on this project; he is the Senior Creative Designer of Gruppo Pozzi and in 2011, together with the company, he developed the innovative project for a chair made of environmentally sustainable material that was one of the finalists of the Reddot Design Award.
For the Pinacoteca’s chair, Gruppo Pozzi has reinterpreted the nineteenth-century lines of the original benches and has inserted them in a contemporary design project with symmetrical, pure and essential stylistic traits.
The bench has four seating capacity and it will permit users to admire the works of art. The chair is modular and, with the addition of side elements, it may be combined as the mirror image, creating an element that can be placed in the centre of the area.
Everything is designed to make the most of the space and give more comfort to users.

The material that makes up the chair is the Fenix NTM, nanotechnology material Arpa Industriale, which fits perfectly in this project: thanks to its properties, it is a harmonious blend of past, present and future.
The color of the Fenix NTM chosen for the bench is the Grey London and, with the elegant cover in synthetic velvet fabric, it fits perfectly with the chairs present in the exhibition halls.
On June 13th, the new entrance and reception structure of the Pinacoteca di Brera will be unveiled. They will be redesigned with furniture made with Fenix NTM by Gruppo Pozzi, chosen for its experience in designing and creating purchasing environments and installations for exhibitions and events.
Creativity and design are the soul of the company which daily renews itself in this field. In just over a month, Gruppo Pozzi will be at the Designer Village of C-star 2016, an important retail trade fair in Shanghai. Here, once again, it will present his own creative design service that makes their products unique and innovative.
